According to AL Law, “no person shall practice nor hold himself or herself out to be able to practice physical therapy or act as a physical therapist assistant in this state unless he or she is licensed in accordance with Section 34-24- 210.”
1) Request your school send an official transcript identifying degree conferred and date to the board’s office. New Graduates send a Certification of Physical Therapy Education (CPTE) until your transcripts become available.
2) Have a scanned copy of your current driver license, military ID, or another official photo ID ready to upload when prompted.
3) Contact FSBPT and arrange for a copy of your NPTE score report to be sent to our office.
NOTE: APPLICANTS WHO ARE LICENSED BY THIS BOARD MUST SUCCESSFULLY COMPLETE THE NATIONAL PHYSICAL THERAPY EXAMINATION (NPTE).
New Graduates: All temporary licenses are immediately voided if the applicant fails the NPTE examination.
